5 facts about the barber.

5 facts about the barber.

1. Barbering was once a profession where men would shave others and earn money for their services. In fact, many people still think that barbers were once men who shaved other men. However, barbers have been around since ancient times. There are even records of barbers being present at the time of Jesus Christ. Barbers were often considered as doctors and surgeons before they became just hair cutters.

2. Barbershops were first introduced in Europe in the 17th century. These shops were known as “barber-surgeons” and were places where barbers could practice their craft. They had chairs, mirrors, and shelves full of tools and supplies.

3. As barbers began to become popular, they started to open their own establishments. Many barbers opened salons and practiced their trade in these locations.

4. By the 19th century, barbershops were becoming more popular than ever. Men would go to them to get their hair cut and receive advice about how to look good.

5. At this point, barbershops were not only places where men went to get their hair cut, but they were also social hubs. People would meet friends and family while getting their hair done.
